Children of all ages take part in visits to places of interest each term. The outings are very varied and might include visits to museums, theatres, ranging from pantomime to Shakespeare, a working farm or a canal trip, or lectures, field trips, exhibitions and Outward Bounds.
Each year we organise visits to Ypres as part of the history studies. It is a long day trip, but the pupils benefit greatly from the experience of seeing the battle sites and memorials up close.
Residential trips are also arrange and recently these have included the joint St Andrew's and Rushmoor Ski Trip to Les Menuire in the French Alps. This is open to all members of the family to attend and really is a great way to start the Christmas holidays!
In 2015 senior pupils visited Iceland as part of their geography fieldwork, which they all found extremely enjoyable, particularly the visit to the Blue Lagoon Spa!
Residential adventure trips include Blue Peris, The Frontier Centre and taking part in a bushcraft residential. As you can imagine, the adventure trips are always popular!
