Babies 0-16 Months
It is important that babies feel loved and secure. It is for this reason that babies have a self-contained area, enabling them to enjoy their own routine. There is a large play area for your child to explore new objects and to aid them in taking their first steps. A sleep area provides quiet and peace, ensuring that your child can take a nap when they need to, whilst being constantly monitored.
Through Daily Books we record and communicate your child’s daily progress to ensure that you are fully informed.
Babies 16-24 Months
For those children who are slightly older, the baby unit has been designed specifically to meet the needs of this age group. With increasing mobility and a desire to develop independence, the children have areas for art and craft, building and construction, which promote their increasing motor skills. Activities change from the morning to the afternoon to ensure that all areas of development are enhanced.
Our programme for the under 2s is centred on natural curiosity, allowing your child to explore and learn at her or his own pace.
Toddlers and Pre-School
This age group have a longer concentration span and are more aware and interested in art and craft and in listening to stories. Our play areas provide an enriching environment with activities designed to enhance your child’s holistic development and to introduce them to early childhood education.
Each child has an individual education plan which details her or his target areas for learning.
Your child will spend each day in a variety of play areas, each designed to offer experiences that promote her or his growth and development. These range from the creative area where your child can make things or the role play area where children can dress up and act as different people who are part of the world.
Each day your child will listen to stories and participate in music and movement with the group. She or he will also have the opportunity each day to explore the outdoor area, promoting physical skills and a healthy lifestyle.
