Pastoral Care at St Andrews

At St Andrew’s our outstanding pastoral care is founded on our belief that every child is a unique individual. We value each and every pupil in our community.

The high quality of pastoral care at St Andrew’s is led by the Heads of the Junior and Senior Schools. All of our teachers work to ensure that your child’s pastoral needs are identified and successfully met.

The aim of our pastoral care is the development of your child’s confidence and the skills and values that will help her, or him, to lead a full and fulfilled adult life.

In the Junior School the Class Teacher soon knows your child’s character and is able to respond to her or him as an individual.

In the Senior School your daughter’s Form Tutor encourages her independence, guiding and mentoring her development.

At St Andrews all of the school staff have a role to play in ensuring that your child is happy and secure. We believe strongly in the importance of the whole school community and in ensuring that everyone feels that they belong and are valued.

Our House system enables your daughter or son to meet and work with girls and boys of different ages, developing skills in teamwork and leadership.
