Headmaster's Welcome

I am delighted to introduce St Andrew’s to you.

I believe strongly in the transforming power of an outstanding school like St Andrew’s. A school that inspires its pupils to achieve their potential and expand their horizons. A school that develops the values and attitudes needed to live a full and fulfilled adult life. St Andrew’s has been doing this, in the heart of Bedford, since 1896.

Set in three Victorian Houses, prospective parents and visitors frequently comment on the school’s warm and homely atmosphere. At St Andrew’s, girls and boys are part of a supportive school community in which they are known, happy, healthy and secure. My staff and I believe this is the essential foundation for the personal growth and academic success of each pupil.

I have always valued the personal satisfaction I experience from seeing young people achieve. At St Andrew’s I experience this everyday, as we celebrate the academic and extra-curricular achievements of our girls and boys.

An outstanding school is more than the sum of its parts. I truly believe that St Andrew’s does offer a strikingly different place to learn for your daughter or son.

I look forward to personally welcoming you to St Andrew’s, the truly independent alternative in Bedford.
